ToggleMangools Free Trial: Free+ Features, Limits and What Happens After
Affiliate disclosure: SEORAF may earn a commission if you purchase a paid Mangools subscription through affiliate links on this page. This does not increase your price. I base this guide on Mangools’ published documentation and distinguish official product information from my editorial recommendations. I have not independently tested a Mangools account for this article.
The Mangools free trial is a 10-day Free+ account, not a conventional trial of a paid subscription. Every new account starts with Free+, which provides higher limits than Mangools’ permanent Free plan. You do not need a credit card, and Mangools does not charge you when Free+ ends. After 10 days, your account automatically moves to the Free plan.
This guide explains what Free+ includes, the latest published usage limits, how to create an account, what happens after the 10-day period, and when upgrading to a paid plan may make sense.
Does Mangools Have a Free Trial?
Yes, but Mangools calls its introductory offer Free+. Every new Mangools account receives 10 days of Free+ access. It includes higher limits than the permanent Free plan, but it is not a temporary version of a paid subscription.
There is no credit card requirement, no automatic paid conversion, and nothing to cancel when the 10 days end. Your account simply moves to the Free plan unless you independently choose to subscribe.

Important: Free+ is not a paid-plan trial. You can continue using the Free plan after the introductory period without subscribing.
What Is Mangools Free+?
Free+ is Mangools’ introductory account level for new users. It gives you access to the platform’s SEO tools with higher allowances than the permanent Free plan.
Mangools introduced this arrangement to provide new users with a time-limited period of increased usage while keeping a permanent free account option available. The Free+ account lasts 10 days, after which its limits automatically change to the standard Free plan.
You can identify your current account level in the Mangools dashboard. The Your plan section displays the plan name and the date when Free+ ends. The account menu inside the SEO tools also displays your available resources.
Free vs Free+ vs Paid: What Is the Difference?
The main difference is the amount of usage available. Free+ provides higher allowances for several features, while the permanent Free plan has lower limits. Paid plans provide substantially larger allowances for ongoing SEO work.

| Feature | Free | Free+ | Paid plans |
|---|---|---|---|
| Duration | No time limit | 10 days | Subscription period |
| Credit card for free access | No | No | Payment method required for paid subscription |
| Keyword lookups | 5 per 24 hours | 5 per 24 hours | Higher limits |
| SERP lookups | 5 per 24 hours | 5 per 24 hours | Higher limits |
| Site lookups | 2 per 24 hours | 5 per 24 hours | Higher limits |
| Backlink rows | 1,000 per 30 days | 2,000 per 30 days | Higher limits |
| Tracked keywords | 5 | 50 | Depends on plan |
| Tracked domains | 1 | 1 | No separate domain limit on SEO + AI plans |
| Automatic paid conversion | No | No | Paid subscriptions renew according to their billing settings |
Based on Mangools’ published Free and Free+ plan documentation. Paid-plan allowances vary by subscription.
One important detail: Free and Free+ both include five keyword lookups and five SERP lookups per 24 hours. Free+ does not increase every allowance. Its main advantages include additional SiteProfiler lookups, backlink rows, keyword suggestions, competitor keywords and rank-tracking capacity.
Mangools Free+ Limits: Complete Feature Comparison
Understanding the actual limits is important before using Mangools. Its allowances are not all calculated in the same way. Some reset every 24 hours, backlink rows reset monthly, and tracked keywords represent the number of keywords currently being monitored.
| Usage limit | Free+ | Free |
|---|---|---|
| Keyword lookups | 5 / 24 hours | 5 / 24 hours |
| SERP lookups | 5 / 24 hours | 5 / 24 hours |
| Site lookups | 5 / 24 hours | 2 / 24 hours |
| Backlink rows | 2,000 / 30 days | 1,000 / 30 days |
| Keyword suggestions per search | 25 | 15 |
| Competitor keywords per domain search | 10 | 5 |
| Keywords per import | 25 | 15 |
| SERPWatcher tracked keywords | 50 | 5 |

How Mangools Counts Keyword and SERP Lookups
A keyword lookup is generally used when you submit a search in KWFinder. A SERP lookup is used when you load search engine results in SERPChecker or select a keyword in KWFinder to calculate its Keyword Difficulty and view its SERP information.
This means one KWFinder search can consume both a keyword lookup and a SERP lookup. You should account for both when planning your daily research.
Mangools resets keyword, SERP and site lookup counters every 24 hours. The countdown begins with the first lookup of the relevant type, rather than necessarily resetting at midnight.
Backlink rows work differently. They are counted monthly, based on the backlink records loaded or exported through LinkMiner.
How SERPWatcher Counts Tracked Keywords
Tracked keywords are not daily lookups. They represent the total number of keyword-location-device combinations currently monitored in SERPWatcher.
For example, tracking 10 keywords in one location on desktop uses 10 tracked keywords. Tracking those same keywords on both desktop and mobile in three locations uses 60 tracked keywords.
The calculation is:
Tracked keywords = Keywords × Locations × Devices
Both Free and Free+ include one tracked domain. Free+ allows 50 tracked keywords, while Free allows five.

What Tools Are Included in Mangools Free+?
Mangools combines five SEO tools into one platform. Its Free+ account provides access to these tools within the published usage limits. Each tool serves a different purpose in keyword research, SERP analysis, rank tracking and backlink research.

1. KWFinder: Keyword Research
KWFinder helps users research keywords and evaluate their search potential. It provides keyword suggestions, search volume information, keyword difficulty estimates and competitor keyword research.
Free+ includes five keyword lookups per 24 hours, up to 25 keyword suggestions per search and up to 10 competitor keywords per domain search. The permanent Free plan includes the same number of daily keyword lookups but lower suggestion and competitor keyword allowances.
KWFinder may be useful when building an initial keyword shortlist for a website or planning content around relevant search queries.
For a more detailed product assessment, see the SEORAF KWFinder review.
2. SERPChecker: Search Results Analysis
SERPChecker analyzes search engine results for a keyword. It helps users examine ranking pages, search result features and available SEO metrics.
Both Free+ and Free include five SERP lookups per 24 hours. Selecting a keyword in KWFinder to load its SERP information also uses a SERP lookup.
This tool can help users understand the competitive landscape before deciding whether a keyword is worth targeting.
3. SERPWatcher: Rank Tracking
SERPWatcher monitors keyword ranking positions over time. It helps users follow ranking changes for selected keywords and locations.
Free+ includes one domain and 50 tracked keywords. The permanent Free plan includes one domain and five tracked keywords.
There is an additional restriction worth understanding: on the Free plan, SERPWatcher updates rankings for 30 days from the original account signup date. The first 10 Free+ days count toward this period. After those 30 days, ranking updates stop until you upgrade.
Your tracking setup, keywords and ranking history remain in your account even after updates stop.
For more information, read the SEORAF SERPWatcher review.
4. LinkMiner: Backlink Analysis
LinkMiner helps users examine backlinks pointing to websites. It provides backlink information and filtering options that can support competitor backlink research.
Free+ includes 2,000 backlink rows per 30 days, compared with 1,000 backlink rows on the permanent Free plan. Each backlink loaded in the results contributes to the allowance. Bulk exports also use backlink rows.
This allowance is separate from the daily keyword and SERP lookup counters.
5. SiteProfiler: Website Analysis
SiteProfiler provides an overview of website-level SEO metrics, including authority-related information, backlink profiles and competitor insights.
Free+ includes five SiteProfiler lookups per 24 hours, while the permanent Free plan includes two. A site lookup is used when you analyze a website or URL.
It can be useful for an initial review of a competitor’s website, although its limited free allowance may not be sufficient for frequent research.
Does Mangools Free+ Include AI Search Watcher?
Mangools also lists AI Search Watcher, a separate product for monitoring website visibility in AI-generated search responses. Its allowance is displayed separately from the five traditional SEO tools.
The published Free and Free+ comparison lists one monitor and five prompts for AI Search Watcher on both account levels.
There is an additional Free-plan condition: monitoring pauses if you do not open the AI Search Watcher dashboard for 28 days. Mangools says it sends a warning after 21 days without a visit. Opening the dashboard resets that period. Paused monitors, prompts and history remain in the account.
AI Search Watcher should not be confused with the five core SEO tools covered in this guide.

Note: This affiliate link may earn SEORAF a commission if you later purchase a paid plan. Registration for Free+ does not require a purchase.
What Happens When Mangools Free+ Ends?
After the 10-day Free+ period, Mangools automatically moves your account to the permanent Free plan. You do not need to cancel Free+, and no payment is collected when the introductory period ends.
Your account remains available, but several usage allowances become smaller.
Your Account and Saved Tracking History Remain
According to Mangools, your trackings, monitors and their history remain in your account after Free+ ends. You do not lose your tracking history simply because your account moves to the Free plan.
SERPWatcher Ranking Updates Have a Time Limit
On the Free plan, SERPWatcher continues updating rankings for 30 days from your original signup date. Because the initial 10 Free+ days count toward those 30 days, the remaining update period after Free+ ends is shorter than 30 additional days.
Once the 30-day period ends, ranking updates stop until you upgrade. Your tracked keywords and ranking history remain accessible in your account.
Your Options After Free+
- Continue with Free: Keep using the permanent Free plan within its lower limits.
- Upgrade: Choose a paid plan if you need more keyword research, backlink analysis or ongoing rank tracking.
- Use individual free resources: Explore Mangools’ free SEO tools where appropriate.
- Stop using the platform: You are not required to purchase a subscription after Free+ ends.
The important distinction is that moving from Free+ to Free does not create a paid subscription. You only pay if you independently select and purchase a paid plan.
Mangools Free Trial vs Paid Plans
Free+ is designed for initial exploration. Paid Mangools plans provide larger allowances for users who need more frequent research, additional tracking capacity or more extensive SEO workflows.
Mangools currently lists Basic, Premium and Agency SEO + AI subscriptions. The limits differ by plan.
| Feature | Free+ | Basic | Premium | Agency |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Keyword lookups / 24 hours | 5 | 100 | 500 | 1,200 |
| SERP lookups / 24 hours | 5 | 100 | 500 | 1,200 |
| Site lookups / 24 hours | 5 | 20 | 70 | 150 |
| Backlink rows / month | 2,000 | 100,000 | 500,000 | 1,200,000 |
| Tracked keywords | 50 | 200 | 700 | 1,500 |
| Ranking updates | Limited free period | Weekly | Weekly | Daily |
Comparison of selected allowances. Free+ ranking updates are subject to the 30-day Free-plan update period. Paid-plan information is based on Mangools’ published plan comparison, checked November 8, 2026.
For a complete breakdown of paid-plan limits, billing options and current pricing, see the SEORAF Mangools pricing guide and the official Mangools plans and pricing page.
Prices can change and may vary according to billing frequency and location. Check the official pricing page before making a purchase decision.
When Should You Upgrade From Mangools Free?
Reaching the end of Free+ does not automatically mean you need a paid subscription. The better decision depends on how frequently you use the tools and whether the permanent Free plan meets your requirements.
When a Paid Plan May Make Sense
- You regularly reach your daily keyword or SERP lookup limits.
- You need to monitor more than five keywords after the Free+ period.
- You manage multiple websites or larger keyword lists.
- You need more frequent backlink and competitor research.
- You require ongoing ranking updates beyond the Free plan’s 30-day update period.
- You need higher usage allowances for recurring SEO work.
When the Free Plan May Be Enough
- You only perform occasional keyword research.
- You work on a small website with a limited keyword list.
- You do not need continuous rank tracking.
- You can complete your research within the available daily limits.
- You are still learning how keyword research and SERP analysis work.
SEORAF recommendation: Upgrade because a specific feature or usage limit supports your regular workflow, not simply because Free+ has ended. If the permanent Free plan covers your needs, there is no reason to purchase a subscription just to keep an account active.
Mangools Billing, Cancellation and Refund Policy
Free+ and the permanent Free plan do not require a payment method. Paid subscriptions have separate billing conditions, so understand the renewal and refund policies before purchasing.
Does Mangools Automatically Charge You After Free+?
No. Mangools does not collect a card for Free+ or the permanent Free plan. When Free+ ends, the account moves to Free without automatically starting a paid subscription.
How Does Paid Subscription Renewal Work?
Paid subscriptions renew according to the selected monthly or annual billing arrangement unless auto-renewal is disabled before the next payment date.
Mangools provides subscription management through the Your plan section of the dashboard. Disabling auto-renewal prevents the next recurring payment, while your existing paid access continues until the end of the prepaid period.
See Mangools’ official cancellation instructions for the current process.
Does Mangools Offer a Money-Back Guarantee?
Yes. Mangools’ published refund policy provides a 48-hour money-back guarantee for the first subscription purchase. If you are not satisfied, you can contact Mangools within 48 hours of payment to request a full refund under the policy.
The policy also states that an automatically renewed annual subscription may be refunded when a request is made within 14 days of the renewal date. A handling fee may apply to business customers where permitted by law.
Refunds are separate from cancellation. Disabling auto-renewal alone does not refund a payment that has already been made. Contact Mangools support or use its live chat to request a refund.
Read the official Mangools refund policy for eligibility conditions and exclusions.

6. How Many Keyword Lookups Does Mangools Free+ Include?

10. Can I Continue Using Mangools After the Free+ Period?
Yes. Your account moves to the permanent Free plan, which has no expiration date. You can continue using the available tools within its lower usage limits.

It depends on your requirements. Free is suitable for occasional research with limited usage needs. Paid plans provide larger allowances for users who need more keyword lookups, backlink analysis and ongoing rank tracking.
14. Can I Use Mangools for Multiple Websites?
Free and Free+ include one tracked domain in SERPWatcher. Paid SEO + AI plans do not have a separate domain limit, although their total tracked keyword allowances still apply.
Should You Try Mangools Free+?
Mangools Free+ offers a useful way to explore a collection of SEO tools without entering payment card details or committing to a paid subscription. Its 10-day introductory period includes higher allowances than the permanent Free plan, particularly for backlink research, site analysis and rank tracking.
However, its daily keyword and SERP lookup allowances remain limited. The permanent Free plan also has restrictions on tracked keywords and ongoing ranking updates. Users who need more extensive research or continuous SEO monitoring may eventually find a paid subscription more appropriate.
My recommendation is to start by identifying the SEO tasks you actually need to complete. Review the available resources in your dashboard, assess whether the Free plan meets your requirements, and consider a paid subscription only when its additional capacity provides a clear benefit.
Free+ is not a paid subscription trial. You can explore the free account and decide independently whether Mangools fits your SEO workflow.
