ToggleIs Mangools Worth It? A Plan-by-Plan Buying Guide
Is Mangools worth it? It can be, if your SEO work is mostly keyword research and rank tracking and your daily usage fits a plan’s limits. It is a weaker choice if you need a technical site audit, paid-search data, extensive backlink analysis or high-volume batch work.
The answer depends on four things: your workflow, how many lookups you need each day, your budget, and whether you also need a crawler. Below, I separate what Mangools says about itself from what independent reviewers have reported, and explain what you can check before paying.
Facts checked: 22 October 2026. Prices, limits and policies can change. Confirm the current details on Mangools’ official pricing page before buying. Figures attributed to independent reviews reflect those reviewers’ tests or reports, not my own hands-on testing.
Affiliate disclosure: Some links to Mangools on this page are affiliate links and should be clearly identified as such. If you subscribe through an affiliate link, SEORAF may earn a commission. This does not change how I describe the product’s limitations. Confirm that every affiliate link is working before publishing.
How I researched this: I have not run my own hands-on tests of Mangools for this article. The information below comes from Mangools’ published pages and independent reviews. A “vendor claim” means Mangools says it about its own product. An “independent finding” means a third-party reviewer reported it. Where sources conflict or a detail could not be confirmed, I say so rather than treating it as settled.
Quick Decision Summary
| If this describes you… | What the evidence suggests |
|---|---|
| Keyword research is most of your work | A reasonable fit. Independent reviewers identify keyword research as one of Mangools’ main strengths. |
| You need rank tracking and weekly updates are enough | A reasonable fit, provided the current plan’s tracking limits meet your needs. Mangools’ plan descriptions list daily updates for Agency; some other materials describe this differently. |
| You want a simple interface you can learn quickly | A reasonable fit. Independent reviews praise the interface’s ease of use. |
| You need a technical site audit in the same tool | Not a strong fit. Plan to use a separate crawler or technical auditing tool. |
| You run large batches or need high daily lookup volume | Check the current plan limits first. Mangools documents usage limits, but the exact figures should be confirmed before purchase. |
| You are unsure | Try the free plan, if available to your account, and check how it handles your own keywords before subscribing. |
A practical fit guide based on the evidence discussed in this article, not a score or ranking.
What You Get With Mangools
The five core tools
Mangools is a suite of five connected apps. According to its FAQ, the tools are not sold separately and are included in its subscription plans. The keyword difficulty score in KWFinder also relies on SERPChecker data. Check the current plan details to confirm which limits and features apply to your subscription.
| Tool | What it does (vendor description) | Independent note |
|---|---|---|
| KWFinder | Finds keyword ideas and provides search-volume estimates and keyword difficulty data (Mangools). | Experte describes keyword research as one of Mangools’ biggest strengths but found a smaller suggestion pool than larger tools in its test (Experte). |
| SERPChecker | Shows localized search results, SERP features and SEO metrics. | Experte found the layout clear, although some metric abbreviations required hovering to understand. |
| SERPWatcher | Tracks rankings across desktop and mobile. Mangools advertises coverage across more than 65,000 locations on its SERPWatcher page. Update-frequency descriptions vary by page and source. | Experte reports daily updates on all plans. See the rank-tracking section below for the discrepancy and what to verify. |
| LinkMiner | Analyzes backlinks and provides a page preview to help show where a link appears. | Experte praised the link preview. The underlying backlink data is associated with Majestic. |
| SiteProfiler | Provides a domain-level overview of authority and backlink information. | In Experte’s test of 30 domains, its organic-traffic estimates achieved 51% accuracy against analytics data. This is one reviewer’s test result, not a guarantee of accuracy for other sites. The review describes organic traffic data, not paid-search traffic. |

Vendor descriptions and independent observations about Mangools’ five core tools. Independent findings reflect the cited review’s methods and sample.
Products outside the core package
AI Search Watcher is a separate product for monitoring brand visibility in AI search. Mangools has a separate pricing page for it. The page cited for this article lists subscriptions starting at $34.90 per month on annual plans; confirm the current price before relying on that figure. Some third-party sites say AI Search Watcher is bundled with core plans, but I could not confirm that from the Mangools pages reviewed. Check the exact plan terms before assuming it is included.
Mangools also documents API access. Its FAQ says SERPWatcher API access is available on request, while KWFinder and SERPChecker have separate API plans rather than being automatically included in an ordinary subscription. A Looker Studio connector for SERPWatcher data is also listed. Confirm the current availability and conditions directly with Mangools if API access is important to your workflow.
Who Should Buy Mangools
Mangools may suit you if most of these statements are true:
- Keyword research is your main task. Independent reviewers identify KWFinder and its keyword difficulty data as major strengths of the suite.
- You want a short learning curve. Experte praised the interface and described the apps as relatively easy for beginners to understand.
- Your daily usage fits the plan. Mangools documents usage limits and a 24-hour reset cycle. A predictable workload may be easier to manage than occasional, unusually heavy research sessions.
- Weekly rank updates are enough for you, or you have confirmed that the plan you intend to buy provides the update frequency you need.
- You would rather pay for one suite than assemble several tools, and you accept that Mangools does not cover every technical, advertising or backlink-research need.
If that sounds like you, the practical next step is to test the free account against your own keywords, if the current free offer is available. You can visit Mangools and check the free account options (affiliate link). Mangools’ FAQ says its free plan does not require a credit card; confirm the current terms before signing up.
Who Should Skip Mangools
You may outgrow Mangools or find it frustrating if any of these apply:
- You need a technical site audit. Experte reports that Mangools lacks a site-audit crawler, and no dedicated crawler appears in the core tool list reviewed for this article. A Gizmodo SEO review makes a similar point.
- You need paid-search or advertising data. Experte found no paid-traffic data and no automatic organic-competitor finder in its review.
- You run large batch jobs or need very high daily volume. Usage limits can become restrictive, and Experte described batch analysis as limited in its review.
- You need extensive backlink coverage. LinkMiner uses Majestic-related backlink data, but no backlink index covers every link. Mangools’ FAQ also notes that backlink tools can miss links.
- You need a non-English interface. Experte reports that the interface it reviewed was available in English only. Check the current product before treating that as a definitive statement about every interface or supported language.
- You want AI visibility tracking included at no extra cost. AI Search Watcher has a separate pricing page, and its inclusion in the core plans could not be confirmed from the sources reviewed.
Features and Limits That Decide the Value
How lookups are counted
Usage limits can matter more than the feature list because Mangools groups its five core tools into its subscription plans. The following counting rules are described in Mangools’ FAQ. Check the current FAQ and your account for any changes:
- Limits refresh on a 24-hour cycle. The FAQ describes the timing in relation to your first request after the previous reset.
- A keyword lookup can count when you submit a keyword, domain or URL in the main search box. The FAQ says importing your own keyword list counts as one lookup.
- A SERP lookup can count when the SERPChecker panel loads. Clicking a KWFinder suggestion to generate its difficulty score can also use a SERP lookup. The FAQ says recently cached requests are not counted.
Rank tracking: update frequency and the device double count
Mangools’ plan descriptions say SERPWatcher updates rankings weekly, with daily updates listed for the Agency plan. That wording appears on the SERPWatcher page and in its site navigation. However, some Mangools feature copy, including its agency rank-tracking page, refers to daily updates without the same plan qualifier, and Experte reports daily updates on all plans. The sources therefore do not provide a fully consistent answer. If update frequency matters, confirm the current terms for your specific plan in the product or with Mangools support before buying.
One rule is easy to miss. According to the FAQ, tracking the same keyword on both mobile and desktop counts as two tracked keywords. As a hypothetical example—not a test result—tracking 100 keywords on both devices would use 200 tracked-keyword slots. Independent reviewers report that 200 is the Basic plan’s allowance, but verify the current allowance before using this example to choose a plan.
Keyword data: strengths and a smaller suggestion pool
In Experte’s review, KWFinder’s search-volume estimates matched Google Search Console impressions with 65.5% accuracy across a sample of 30 keywords. The result was lower than Ubersuggest, Semrush and Ahrefs in that same test. Experte also found fewer keyword suggestions on average than it did with larger tools. Treat these as results from one reviewer’s sample and methodology, not as a universal measure of accuracy.
Two practical notes from Mangools’ FAQ: search-volume data may lag by about a month, and the “search by domain” feature is limited to a published list of countries. Check the current documentation if data freshness or country coverage is important to your work.
Backlink data
LinkMiner draws on Majestic-related backlink data. In Experte’s comparison, the reviewer reported approximately 5,200 referring domains on average for Mangools, compared with about 5,600 for Ahrefs and 8,900 for Semrush. Those figures describe the reviewer’s test, not the number of referring domains every user will see. Experte also noted that LinkMiner lacked link-age and referring-page traffic filters in the version reviewed. For routine competitor link checks, the available data may be sufficient. For detailed backlink audits, those limitations are worth considering.
What’s missing, and what is documented but disputed
The main gap is technical auditing. If you need to investigate crawl errors, broken links or other technical issues, you will need a separate crawler or audit tool. My technical SEO audit guide explains what such an audit can cover. Mangools also does not appear to provide the paid-search research described in the cited independent review, so advertising research may require another source.
Experte says Mangools lacks Google Search Console import and white-label reports. Mangools’ own pages describe these capabilities: its agency rank-tracking page describes importing keywords from Search Console into SERPWatcher or KWFinder, and its white-label reports page describes branded reports with a logo, colors and company details. Experte’s statements may reflect a different version or plan. The vendor pages cited here do not clearly establish which plans include every white-label feature, so confirm the current plan-specific details before relying on them.
Mangools Pros and Cons at a Glance
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Clear, beginner-friendly interface, according to Experte. | No dedicated technical site-audit crawler was identified in the cited reviews or core tool list (Gizmodo SEO review and Experte). |
| Keyword research is described as a main strength by Experte. | A smaller keyword suggestion pool than larger tools in one reviewer’s test. |
| The five core tools are included in the subscription suite; usage limits and some plan features vary. See the vendor FAQ. | Lookup and rank-tracking limits may constrain heavy usage; mobile and desktop tracking may count separately. |
| Mangools documents a free plan and a 48-hour refund policy on its published pages; check the current terms. | Rank-update descriptions conflict: plan pages list daily updates for Agency, while some feature copy and a reviewer describe daily updates more broadly. |
| Backlink data includes a page-preview feature, praised by Experte. | The cited review notes limitations in backlink filters, and the suite does not provide the paid-search data described in the review. |

Mangools Pricing (Checked 22 October 2026)
Plans: monthly versus annual
The prices below are figures shown in an earnings example on the Mangools affiliate program page, rather than a live plan comparison. Capterra’s listing shows the same annual per-month prices. Because these sources may not reflect the current checkout price, treat the figures as published reference prices and verify the live pricing page before buying. Annual billing is shown as one yearly payment.
| Plan | Monthly billing | 12 months at monthly billing | Annual billing (one payment) | Annual per month | Difference over a year |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $49 | $588 | $358.80 | $29.90 | $229.20 (about 39%) |
| Premium | $69 | $828 | $538.80 | $44.90 | $289.20 (about 35%) |
| Agency | $129 | $1,548 | $1,078.80 | $89.90 | $469.20 (about 30%) |
Published price figures from Mangools’ affiliate page. The 12-month totals, annual per-month values and differences are SEORAF calculations based on those figures, not a live checkout quote.
Mangools’ pages describe annual savings in several ways, including “up to 35%,” “up to 44%” and “up to five months free.” Those claims may use different comparisons or offers. Use the actual billing amounts shown at checkout rather than relying on a headline saving. Some third-party sites also list a cheaper Entry plan, which I could not confirm from the sources reviewed. Check the current plan list, and confirm whether taxes or local pricing apply at checkout.
Daily limits by plan (reported by independent reviewers)
I could not verify Mangools’ complete live plan table from the source pages reviewed because the comparison appears to load dynamically. The figures below are reported by independent sources, including Search Atlas and Spike. I have not independently confirmed these figures with Mangools. A Mangools SERPWatcher guide excerpt also gives 200 tracked keywords for Basic and 1,500 for Agency. Treat the figures as unverified reference values and compare them with the current plan information before buying.
| Limit (per 24 hours unless noted) | Basic | Premium | Agency |
|---|---|---|---|
| Keyword lookups | 100 | 500 | 1,200 |
| SERP lookups | 100 | 500 | 1,200 |
| Tracked keywords (total) | 200 | 700 | 1,500 |
Limits reported by independent sources, not verified against Mangools’ current live plan comparison. Confirm each figure before relying on it.
Reported seat counts and backlink-row allowances conflict between sources, so I have left those figures out. Mangools’ FAQ says extra seats for sub-users are available with Premium or higher, that sub-users share the main account’s limits, and that Premium and Agency support simultaneous logins on two devices. Confirm these details against the current plan terms if multiple people will use the account.
Discounts and the price lock
Mangools’ discounts page describes a one-time 10% offer for new users who subscribe within one hour of registering. It also says annual plans keep their discounted price until cancellation, while the FAQ mentions seasonal offers such as Black Friday. Its Terms allow changes to plan parameters or cancellation under stated conditions, but the sources reviewed do not fully explain how every such provision interacts with the price-lock wording. If long-term pricing matters to you, ask support for written clarification before subscribing. Offers and eligibility can change.
Billing and renewal
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you turn off auto-renewal. The plan remains active until the end of the prepaid period, according to the FAQ.
- Upgrades may be prorated on the first payment. Check the current terms for how a change applies to your subscription.
- Mangools lists card, bank transfer and cryptocurrency payments, as well as PayPal through its payment provider, on its pricing page. Confirm the payment methods currently available in your country.
Before you subscribe, check:
- The current plan names, prices and billing options on the official pricing page.
- The limits for your tier in the plan comparison and the free plan’s limits in your account’s “Available resources” section.
- The refund window, renewal terms and cancellation process in the FAQ and Terms.
- Which plan includes the features you depend on, such as daily rank updates, extra seats or white-label reports.
Plans and prices can change, so confirm them on Mangools’ official pricing page. If you decide to subscribe, you can visit Mangools through this affiliate link. For a broader view of how SEO tool pricing compares, see the SEO software pricing hub.
Is Mangools Worth It for Your Situation?
This table translates the features and limits above into practical fit. It reflects the evidence discussed in this article, not a ranking or score.

| Reader | Likely fit | Plan consideration | Main risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| Beginner blogger or small affiliate site | Often a reasonable fit for keyword research. | Start with the lowest plan that covers your expected usage, after confirming the current limits. | Daily limits may become restrictive during heavy research sessions. |
| Freelancer or consultant | Reasonable for keyword and rank-tracking work. | Count tracked keywords by client, location and device. | No dedicated technical crawler, so you may need a separate tool. |
| Small business owner doing their own SEO | Reasonable for content-focused work. | Test the free account first, if available. | Technical problems may remain undetected without a separate audit tool. |
| Small agency | Depends on workload and reporting needs. | Mangools lists daily rank updates for Agency in its plan descriptions. Confirm current limits, seats and white-label availability. | Sub-users may share the main account’s usage limits. |
| Technical SEO or large-site team | Likely a poor fit as the only SEO tool. | Evaluate a dedicated crawler and tools that meet your scale requirements. | No dedicated crawler in the core suite, usage limits and potentially less extensive backlink data. |
Likely fit by reader type, based on the features, limitations and source qualifications discussed above.
If you work with clients
Client work can increase tracked-keyword usage quickly, especially when the same keywords are tracked on both desktop and mobile. Calculate your expected usage before choosing a plan. Also decide whether weekly updates are acceptable for your reporting schedule, and verify the current update frequency for your chosen plan.
If you are a technical SEO
Mangools is not built around crawling or technical diagnostics. It may still work as a lightweight keyword research and rank-tracking suite alongside a dedicated crawler, provided its limits and data coverage suit your workflow.
Free Plan, Trial and Refund: What to Check Before You Pay
The free plan
Mangools’ FAQ says the free plan costs nothing and does not require a credit card. Published figures for its limits vary between sources, so I do not quote them here. If the free plan is available to your account, check the “Available resources” section for the limits currently assigned to you.
Is there a free trial?
Mangools’ affiliate page mentions a free trial but does not specify its length or full terms in the information reviewed for this article. A Gizmodo SEO review reports a 10-day period with higher limits, after which the account reverts to the standard free plan. Treat that as an independent report rather than a confirmed current offer, and check what your own account shows.
The refund rules
- Published headline policy: Mangools’ pricing information describes a full refund within 48 hours of payment, with an exclusion for two consecutive subscriptions. Check the current wording on the official pricing page.
- How to ask about a refund: the FAQ lists info@mangools.com and live chat as contact options. Confirm the current procedure before relying on it.
- Terms: the Terms and Conditions reviewed for this article were last updated in June 2023. They describe a 14-day money-back provision for annual renewals and a withdrawal right for EU consumers, with an exception once paid use has started. They also state that cryptocurrency and wire-transfer payments are non-refundable.
The Terms are dated, and the sources reviewed do not clearly explain how the 48-hour policy interacts with the 14-day provisions in every case. Do not assume one policy overrides the other. If your purchase decision depends on the refund terms, ask Mangools support for written confirmation before paying and keep the reply.
A short pre-purchase checklist
- List the keywords and competitor domains you would research on a typical day.
- Estimate how many lookups that work requires, remembering that generating difficulty scores from suggestions may use SERP lookups.
- Count tracked keywords by domain, location and device, using the current plan’s counting rules.
- Decide whether weekly rank updates are enough, and confirm the actual update frequency for the plan you are considering.
- Decide whether you need a separate site-audit or crawler tool.
- Before subscribing, confirm the refund and renewal terms. If you proceed, save the policy details and set a reminder to review auto-renewal.
To run that check against your own workflow, you can visit Mangools and check the free account options (affiliate link).
Common Hesitations About Mangools
“The limits look low.”
They may be restrictive, depending on your workflow and plan. The counting rules explain why: clicking suggestions to generate difficulty scores can use SERP lookups, and tracking one keyword on two devices may use two tracked-keyword slots. Estimate your normal daily usage and verify the current plan limits before choosing a subscription.
“It doesn’t do everything the bigger tools do.”
That is a fair concern. The “Who Should Skip” section lists the main gaps identified in the sources reviewed, including technical auditing and paid-search research. Whether those gaps matter depends on whether you need those features and can cover them with another tool.
“What if it doesn’t fit my workflow?”
Turning off auto-renewal should prevent future renewal charges under the subscription terms, while the plan generally remains active until the prepaid period ends. Mangools also publishes a 48-hour refund policy, but the interaction with other terms is not fully clear from the sources reviewed. Read the current policy and ask support if you need certainty before paying.
“How do I know which plan to pick?”
Start with the free account if it is available, observe how your normal tasks use the available resources, and compare your usage with the current paid-plan limits. Choose based on measured usage and the features you actually need rather than an estimate alone.
Alternatives to Mangools, Based on What You Need
I have not completed a current, feature-by-feature comparison of competitor prices and plans for this article. The options below are therefore starting points, not a ranked list or a claim that one product is universally better. Verify each capability and price on the relevant vendor’s official site before choosing.
If you need a technical site audit
Experte describes Ubersuggest as offering a built-in site audit and Semrush as having a substantial site-audit feature set. Those descriptions reflect the cited review and should be checked against the vendors’ current product pages. A dedicated crawler paired with Mangools is another option if you want to keep keyword research and technical auditing separate. See the SEO software alternatives hub for more options.
If you need a broader all-in-one platform
Some larger SEO platforms combine more types of data and workflows in one subscription, but whether they offer better value depends on the features you need and the price you can justify. I cover one option in the SE Ranking pricing guide, while the Semrush alternatives page explores options for readers evaluating that platform.
If budget is the main constraint
Mangools’ free plan and free mini-tools may be a starting point if they cover your needs. Availability and usage limits can change, so check the current terms. For a wider overview of options, see the best SEO software hub.
Mangools FAQs
Does Mangools have a free plan?
Yes. Mangools’ FAQ says its free plan costs nothing and does not require a credit card. Limits can vary or change, so check the “Available resources” section in your account for the current allowance.
Can I buy only KWFinder?
Mangools says its five core tools are included in its subscription suite rather than sold separately. Its FAQ explains that the tools are connected; for example, KWFinder’s keyword difficulty score relies on SERPChecker data. Confirm the current subscription options on the official site.
Does Mangools have a site audit?
The independent reviews cited here report that Mangools does not provide a dedicated technical site-audit crawler, and no such tool appears in its five-tool list. If you need crawl diagnostics and technical error reports, plan to use a separate auditing tool and verify the current Mangools feature list.
How does the Mangools refund work?
Mangools’ published pricing information describes a full refund within 48 hours of payment, subject to stated exclusions. Its Terms, last updated in June 2023 in the version reviewed for this article, include additional provisions. Because the interaction between the policies is not fully clear from the sources reviewed, read the current terms and confirm your eligibility with support before paying.
Is Mangools rank tracking daily?
Mangools’ plan descriptions list weekly rank updates, with daily updates for Agency. Some feature pages and independent reviews describe daily updates more broadly. Because the published descriptions differ, confirm the current update frequency for your specific plan before subscribing.
Does Mangools include AI search tracking?
Mangools offers AI Search Watcher with a separate pricing page. I could not confirm whether it is included in the core plans from the sources reviewed, so check the current plan terms before assuming it is included.
Is there a Mangools discount?
Mangools’ discounts page describes a one-time 10% offer for eligible new users who subscribe within one hour of registering, and annual billing may have a lower per-month equivalent than monthly billing. Offers and eligibility can change, so check the current terms and final checkout price.
The Verdict: When Mangools Is Worth It and When It Isn’t
Mangools can be a reasonable option if keyword research and rank tracking are your core tasks, you value a simple interface, and your daily lookups and tracked keywords fit a plan. It is a weaker choice if you need a dedicated site audit, paid-search data, extensive backlink research or heavy batch processing. Independent reviewers report limitations in these areas, but the right decision depends on your workflow, verified plan limits and budget—not on a single score.
Use this quick check: if you answer yes to the first three questions below and no to the last two, Mangools may be worth considering. Confirm current plan features and limits before deciding.

- Is keyword research or rank tracking most of your SEO work?
- Does your expected usage fit the plan’s current limits, including tracking the same keywords across devices?
- Are weekly rank updates acceptable, or have you confirmed that your chosen plan provides the update frequency you need?
- Do you need a technical site audit inside the same tool?
- Do you need paid-search data or more extensive backlink research than Mangools can provide?
Nothing here guarantees SEO results. No SEO tool can promise rankings or traffic. The right choice is the one whose documented features, limits and costs fit your actual workflow.
How This Page Was Researched
SEORAF is an independent SEO resource, not an agency, and it does not sell rankings. On 22 October 2026, I reviewed the Mangools pages listed below and read the Experte review in full. For Gizmodo SEO, Search Atlas, Spike and Capterra, I reviewed search excerpts rather than the complete pages. I have not run hands-on tests of Mangools for this article. The “Facts checked” date at the top records the stated review date, not a guarantee that prices, limits or policies remain unchanged. The affiliate relationship does not change how I describe the product’s limitations.
