Short answer: we found no official Rytr lifetime plan. When we checked Rytr’s pricing page, homepage and terms on 17 October 2026, they listed a free plan and paid subscriptions, and none of them mentioned a lifetime or one-time-payment option. Rytr did sell a lifetime deal through AppSumo in the past, but that listing now shows as unavailable.

This page separates what is available now from what used to be offered, explains what Rytr’s current plans include, and helps you decide between the free plan, a paid plan or an alternative. We haven’t run a hands-on test of Rytr for this article. Everything below comes from Rytr’s own pages and the sources linked at the end.

Is there a Rytr lifetime deal right now?

Rytr Lifetime Deal SEO Tools Rytr Lifetime Deal

Not from Rytr directly, as far as we could verify on 17 October 2026. Here is what we checked:

One caveat: deal-store pages, such as StackSocial listings, have shown a “lifetime subscription” for Rytr in search results. We couldn’t confirm that any of them is still purchasable, and some appear to be old posts, so we aren’t linking to them. If you find one, check the date, the exact terms and whether it is limited to new users before paying.

The most reliable check is Rytr’s own pricing page. If a lifetime plan ever appears there, that would be the clearest sign Rytr itself offers it.

What past Rytr lifetime deals included

The best-documented lifetime offer was on AppSumo. The listing’s own copy refers to 2021. The table below shows what that listing and review sites described. This is historical, not a current offer.

OfferReported termsStatus on 17 Oct 2026
AppSumo lifetime dealReported at about $39 one-time; lifetime access; 50,000 characters per month; redeem within 60 days of purchase; 60-day money-back guarantee; not stackable; future plan updates includedSold out
Deal-store “lifetime subscription” listingsListings seen in search results showed $75 and described access as “lifetime” and limited to new usersUnverified. We couldn’t confirm any is purchasable

Historical details as reported by AppSumo’s listing and review sites. Not a current offer.

Two things are worth noticing. First, the AppSumo deal had a monthly character cap, so it was never “unlimited” in the way today’s paid plans describe themselves. Second, a one-time price doesn’t tell you how long the vendor will keep the old terms.

If you already bought a lifetime deal

Buyers on AppSumo’s question threads, including a post dated January 2026, say their lifetime accounts now show as free plans. These are user reports. We haven’t confirmed them with Rytr, and we don’t know how many accounts are affected or why.

If this describes you, log in and check your plan page, keep your purchase receipt and redemption details, and contact Rytr at support@rytr.me (the address in its Terms of Use). The AppSumo question page for Rytr also shows what other buyers have reported.

Rytr’s current official pricing

Rytr’s pricing page and homepage showed different plan lineups when we checked on 17 October 2026. We can’t tell from outside which one is authoritative, or whether one is a newer design that hasn’t fully replaced the other. We show both so you can compare them with what you see on the live site.

The page offers a yearly option labeled “2 months free” and a monthly option labeled “cancel anytime.” The listed $7.50 and $24.16 prices appear to be monthly equivalents under yearly billing, but confirm the selected billing toggle and total charge on the live page before paying. The page also lists a Chrome extension, custom use cases, an exclusive community and priority support, but our copy didn’t preserve which plan includes which.

Personal$19250 active relationships; 250 Engage actions; 10 research runs
Pro$491,000 relationships; 2,000 Engage actions; 50 research runs; custom use cases

Source: rytr.me homepage, checked 17 Oct 2026. The page also has a yearly toggle labeled “Save 20%”; confirm which toggle the displayed prices belong to.

The homepage also lists connected sources (1 on Free, 2 on Personal, all on Pro), a daily briefing, 40+ writing use cases and 30+ languages on Free, and morning and evening briefings on Pro. The “relationships,” “Engage actions” and “research runs” limits relate to Rytr’s relationship-management features, not its writing tools.

What this means for you: The homepage now presents Rytr as an AI relationship manager, with writing as one half of the product (it calls the writing side “Create”). The two pages disagree on some details, such as language limits on the free plan (1 language on the pricing page, 30+ on the homepage). Before you pay, decide which features you need and confirm them on the plan page you actually check out from. For more plan detail, see our Rytr pricing guide.

What the cost adds up to over time

A lifetime deal is attractive because it caps your spending. Since there’s no current lifetime plan to compare, the table below only multiplies out the per-month prices Rytr shows on its two pages. It assumes prices stay the same, which isn’t guaranteed. Rytr’s Terms of Use say it can change subscription fees, with notice and effect at the end of the current period.

Plan (source)Per month12 months36 months
Unlimited (pricing page)$7.50$90.00$270.00
Premium (pricing page)$24.16$289.92$869.76
Lite (homepage)$9$108$324
Personal (homepage)$19$228$684
Pro (homepage)$49$588$1,764

Simple arithmetic from displayed prices. These are costs, not savings. Annual totals based on monthly equivalents may differ from month-to-month billing.

One caution: $7.50 equals $9 per month with two months free (9 × 10 ÷ 12). That suggests the pricing-page figure may be a yearly-billing equivalent, so paying month to month could cost more than $7.50. Rytr doesn’t spell this out on the page we checked, so confirm on the live toggle.

These figures also don’t compare like with like: the old AppSumo deal had a 50,000-character monthly cap, while the paid plans list unlimited characters.

What the free plan gives you

Rytr describes its Free plan as “free forever, no CC required” on its pricing page. Both official pages list 10,000 characters per month. The pricing page lists no plagiarism checks and no tone match on the free tier.

That’s enough to try the interface and judge the output on your own use cases. For regular use it may be tight, and Rytr can change what the free plan includes. It’s the nearest no-cost option, but it isn’t a lifetime deal.

Rytr features worth knowing about

From Rytr’s own pages, the writing side includes:

  • Use cases: the homepage cites 40+ use cases, from emails to ads. The pricing page’s use-case menu highlights emails, SEO meta titles, replies to reviews and messages, paragraph content, post and caption ideas, and calls to action.
  • Voice and tone: your own saved voice or one of 22 tones (homepage), with a “My Voice” product page.
  • Languages: 30+ according to the homepage, though the pricing page limits Free and Unlimited to one language.
  • Drafts and editing: up to three drafts at once, plus rewrite, shorten, expand and continue tools in the homepage description.
  • Browser extension and plagiarism check: both have product pages on Rytr’s site, and the plagiarism check is capped by plan.

We haven’t tested these features ourselves, so we aren’t ranking output quality. For more feature detail, see our Rytr review.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • A free plan exists, so you can test before paying.
  • Paid plans start at $7.50 (pricing page) or $9 (homepage) per month.
  • Paid plans list unlimited characters, which removes a monthly cap to track.
  • Use cases include common short writing jobs such as emails, captions, ad copy and meta titles.

Cons and limitations

  • No current official lifetime plan that we could find.
  • Rytr’s pricing page and homepage show different plan structures, which makes planning harder.
  • Plagiarism checks (50 or 100 per month) and tone matches are capped by plan on the pricing page.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew, and refunds aren’t guaranteed (see below).
  • Rytr’s homepage now leads with relationship management, so check that the writing features you want are in your plan.
  • We haven’t tested Rytr on long, research-heavy articles. If that is your main use, test it yourself on the free plan first.

Refunds, cancellation and renewals

Read this before you upgrade. From Rytr’s Terms of Use and pricing page:

  • Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled.
  • Monthly plans: the pricing page says you can cancel any time and keep access for the rest of that month.
  • Annual plans: the pricing page says they save 20% off the total and carry a 12-month commitment.
  • Refunds: the Terms say subscriptions cannot be refunded under Rytr’s Refund Policy, though some requests may be considered case by case at Rytr’s discretion.
  • Cancelling renewal: the Terms say to contact support@rytr.me and that fees already paid for the current period aren’t refunded.

Some Trustpilot reviewers mention refund and renewal frustrations, while others praise the tool. Reviews are anecdotes, so treat them as a reason to read the terms, not as a verdict. The 60-day guarantee that applied to the old AppSumo deal doesn’t carry over to current plans.

We haven’t checked whether any of these tools currently has a lifetime offer, so don’t assume one exists. Check each vendor’s pricing page, and use our guides for background:

Frequently asked questions

Is there a Rytr lifetime deal in 2026?

We found no official lifetime plan on Rytr’s pricing page, homepage or Terms of Use on 17 October 2026. The AppSumo lifetime deal shows as unavailable. We couldn’t verify any reseller listing.

What happened to Rytr’s AppSumo lifetime deal?

The AppSumo listing now says the deal is unavailable. We don’t know why it ended, and Rytr hasn’t explained it in anything we found.

Will Rytr bring back a lifetime deal?

We can’t know. We found no announcement of one, so we wouldn’t plan around it.

Is Rytr free forever?

Rytr labels its Free plan “free forever, no CC required” and lists 10,000 characters per month. Plan details can change, so check the current page.

Why was my Rytr lifetime account moved to the free plan?

We can’t say. Some AppSumo buyers report this, but we haven’t seen an explanation from Rytr. Check your plan page, gather your purchase and redemption records, and contact support@rytr.me.

Is a lifetime deal cheaper than a Rytr subscription?

There’s no current lifetime plan to compare. Rytr’s Terms of Use say subscriptions can’t be refunded under its Refund Policy, with case-by-case exceptions at Rytr’s discretion. Don’t assume you can get your money back.

It depends on your content type and budget. Start with the guides in the alternatives list above, and test any tool’s free plan or trial before paying.
